Swedish Legislation

At workntravel, we believe in complete transparency, and it’s crucial to us that both our clients and jobseekers feel confident knowing that we fully adhere to Swedish rules and regulations. Here's a quick overview of what that means:

In January 2021, Swedish legislation regarding foreign labor was updated to ensure fair competition and protect workers. The new law mandates that all employees must receive a contractual salary, which must be taxed in Sweden. Additionally, social benefits should ideally be paid in Sweden as well.

Furthermore, any company hiring employees through us is responsible for taxing income in Sweden. The rules are clear — if the final employer is Swedish, all taxation must be handled within Sweden’s legal framework, with no exceptions.

We take these legal requirements seriously, ensuring that both employees and employers are fully compliant with Swedish law, giving you peace of mind throughout the entire process.
